WASHING
Before washing, thoroughly brush hair to remove any tangles. Gently hand wash with sulfate-free and paraben-free shampoo and lukewarm water. Never rub the ends of the hair together while washing. Repeat as needed, then add conditioner and leave in for 5 minutes. Avoid getting conditioner on the bead of the extensions. Gently use a wet brush or a wide tooth comb before rinsing. Be sure to completely rinse away shampoo and conditioner.
DRYING
Gently squeeze out excess water and blot with a cotton towel. Spray with leave-in conditioner or detangling spray and use a large wide tooth comb or wet brush to detangle and straighten while extensions are damp.
STYLING
Hand-tied extensions can be styled using a wet brush or pliable bristle brush, boar’s hair bristle brush, flat iron, or curling iron. Use only sulfate-free and paraben-free products. Use spray leave-in conditioner, hair oil and heat protection on extensions to keep from tangling or drying out.
SLEEPING
For best results, we recommend the following: Braid extensions or pull into a low ponytail before going to bed, sleep on a silk pillowcase.
MAINTENANCE
Brush regularly and thoroughly (multiple times/day). While brushing, hold base of scalp where the extensions adhere to the natural hair with opposite hand. Do wash your hair extensions at least once a week to prevent the hair from tangling or matting…. Don’t wash it everyday or it will dry out sooner. The same goes for drying and styling. The less you use hot tools and dry heat on your hair the better. Do apply hair serum or oil morning and night. Never sleep on wet hair, this will cause the extensions to tangle and matting.
